Sharon Heath, a Los Angeles native, is a Jungian Analyst who’s passionate about writing fiction and non-fiction exploring the interplay of science and spirit, politics and pop culture. She’s an environmentalist, a film fan, a voracious reader of British crime fiction, a Yaya to two adorable grandchildren, and a certified (if not certifiable) cat lady.
A faculty member of the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, she served as Associate Editor of Psychological Perspectives and Guest Editor of the special issue “The Child Within/The Child Without.” She has blogged for HuffPost and has given talks in the United States and Canada on topics ranging from the place of soul in social media to gossip, envy, secrecy, and belonging. She’s a contributor to Marked by Fire: Stories of the Jungian Way; Depth Psychology and the Digital Age; and Cultural Complexes and the Soul of America: Myth, Psyche, and Politics.
Sharon’s sequel to The Fleur Trilogy, The Mysterious Composition of Tears, is part ecological fiction, part sci-fi, and part a tale of teenage romance, aging siblings, talking trees, and a brilliant physicist gone missing on her journey to a black hole.
The Mysterious Composition of Tears is available now!
Look for the sequel to The Fleur Trilogy on a shelf near you!
“Heath’s books…engage us further into the world’s troubles, as she ups the stakes on a macro level while pulling us in with her characters on the micro level.
If literature has real value for the soul, this is it.”
